This Wednesday three members (including myself) of the Delaware River Towns Local headed out to enjoy the beautiful Summer Weather in New Hope. After grabbing a great meal at the Dubliner on the Delaware, we made our way over to The Greenhouse for Trivia Night.
It was our first team outing to this event we were not sure what to expect. I have to say I think we were all pleasantly surprised. Trivia started at 8 PM, and the rules were simple. Teams of up to four were given a sheet to record answers. Whichever team answered the most questions correctly would be crowned the winner. If your team won three of the ten round, you received a drink on the house.
Local New Hope personality and trivia host, Dwayne Dunlevy, kept a quick pace and was hilarious from start to finish. Even if you have zero interest in trivia Dwayne’s comical banter is enough reason to come out for a round on a Wednesday.
We were one of eight teams participating that evening. One of the aspects I loved was that all the contestants were sitting at the bar, so the evening felt more like a group event and allowed friendly interaction between the teams as the night went on the competition heated up.
I am proud to report that at the end, when all points were tallied, our team emerged ahead of the pack. Our team won the $20 gift card and the gratification of being the Greenhouse Trivia champions… at least until next Wednesday.
We had an absolute blast and I can easily recommend checking this weekly event out!
