Today we’d like to introduce you to Sylvia Barrantes a resident of Sergeantsville, New Jersey and owner of Muse Salon.
Hey Sylvia. Thank you for joining us today. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Well, I’m the owner and head stylist at Muse Salons. We have 2 locations, one in Tewksbury and a brand new salon in Sergeantsville. I am also a musician and play locally around Lambertville and New Hope.
Are you originally from the area or did you relocate here?
I lived in Somerville for most of my life but I’ve been happy to call Sergeantsville my home for the last 6 years. It’s such a sweet little town. I love it here.
What are your favorite places to visit in the Delaware River Towns?
Oh, there are so many to choose from!! I would be hard-pressed to rate my favorite restaurants and cocktail spots. I do have to say I love the canal path and walking around Bulls Island.
What are your favorite activities to do around the Delaware River Towns?
Hiking with our dog is definitely at the top of the list! There are so many places around the area to take her. The canal path is always nice and she loves Goat Hill, Bald Pate Mountain, and Dilts Park.
What makes the Delaware River Towns such a special place to live or visit?
There is so much going on all the time! You can pretty much find live music every day of the week somewhere in the area. The restaurants are awesome. It’s a clean, safe area with a very diverse population, eclectic culture and real sense of community. And of course, the river is beautiful and so relaxing.
