ANDREA CARLSON TRIO AT BOWMAN’S! – Bowman’s Tavern
3/5 7 pm – 11 pm
Beautiful jazz from the American Songbook, French Chanson, and award-winning Originals in both languages – great songs are never out of style – when Andrea and company light up New Hope’s casual new American tavern! Expect excellent service, dining, and cocktails, of course… Please be sure to make a reservation – ask to sit near the piano, to be where the music is – call 215.862.2972. Live music sets from 7 pm to 11 pm. Patron parking on the premises. No cover.
PECHAKUCHA NIGHT VOL. 20 – ACME Screening Room
3/6 6:30 pm – 8 pm
We’re *finally* almost through January and can look ahead to our next event at ACME Screening Room: March 6! Spots available for you to share your thing/project/idea/story in 20 images x 20 seconds each. Any topic welcome (as long as it’s not a sales pitch!). Hope you can join us – it’s so much better than networking.
SUGAR MOON DANCE – Howell Farm
3/6 7 pm – 11:30 pm
Featuring the music of the Jugtown Mountain String Band and the guiding voice of caller Sue Dupre, each barn dance invites beginners and experienced dancers into the Charles Fish Barn to learn some new square, circle, or contra-dance moves. Parking and admission are free. Call (609) 737-3299 with any questions or concerns.
HATCH COSTUME-MAKING WORKSHOP – ArtYard
3/7 1o am – 1 pm
Join ArtYard’s staff for a morning of constructing your personal bird costume for ArtYard’s impending 4th Hatch, a joyful parade and celebration of communal creativity on June 20th in Sunbeam Lenape Park, which will mark the near completion of ArtYard’s new building. No sewing skills required. For a small materials fee, ArtYard will provide basic supplies but you are also welcome to bring your own embellishments. Bird and costume-making enthusiasts of all levels and ages are welcome. Learn new skills in DIY costume-building, and then flock with us in June. This workshop features Flannery McDonnell’s original design, made especially for our 4th Hatch.
BENEFIT FOR JOE ROSE – John & Peter’s Place
3/7 8 pm – 10 pm
To know Joe is to love Joe.
We love Joe Rose. A local artist and talent, a fixture from our little town. Joe is always there, always willing to help. You ask and he’s there. Always supporting, and he does it willingly.
Now it’s our turn to show Joe how much we love and value him. He’s part of the family and not that he’d ever ask, but I’m willing to bet, he could use some of our love right now.
Please consider attending this benefit for such a great person and if you can’t make it, any contribution will be welcome. This GoFundMe goes directly to Joe…
