Create your own ceramic monogrammed serving dish! In class one, students will roll out and texture clay. In class two, students will create a decorative letter for monogramming and give the platter a farmhouse whitewash finish. Additional decorative elements may also be added.
Platters will be sealed with a food-safe clear glaze by the instructor. Students can pick platters up at Mercantile one week after completion.
This project is great for students new to ceramic hand-building but flexible enough for artists with more clay experience.
Please bring an old t-shirt or smock. Clay is messy but does not stain. All supplies included.
