Every September, Peddler’s Village hosts a famous scarecrow display that brings visitors from around the world. For eight fun-filled weeks, one hundred scarecrows grace the winding pathways of the sweeping, autumn-tinted Village property. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are meant to be scary– but all of them are carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations.
Village visitors are invited to vote on their favorite scarecrows during the display, which begins on September 6. Voting continues through October 11, and the scarecrows will be on view through October 30. The creators of the winning scarecrows receive prizes.
All members of the public are invited to participate in the scarecrow competition, a revered tradition in Bucks County and one-of-a-kind event in the region. You can showcase your stuff(ing) in one of seven categories. The deadline for entries is September 1. Contest details are below.
