Prallsville Mills Speakers Series:
Old Tool I.D. and Talk on Vintage Framing Tools
June 4, 2019 7PM

Are you fascinated by old tools? Do you collect old tools? Do you have mystery old tools in your basement or garage? Old tool collector Joseph Hauck will be giving a talk about vintage framing tools. Joe is also offering an opportunity for you to bring in antique tools for identification and to find out what they were used for and how. Joe’s talk will be about the tools which were employed in framing buildings years ago and in constructing the older homes in the region – perhaps even your house! He will bring many examples of these tools – some of them rare – for display and discussion.

Joe is a Past President of the “Collectors of Rare And Familiar Tools Society” (CRAFTS of New Jersey). Club members collect, use, display or sell old tools. The organization has over four hundred members in the U.S. and abroad. Joe is also the official Historian for Lebanon Borough.

The Prallsville Mills complex in Stockton, NJ, is considered a significant example of early American industrial architecture that was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Today, the Mill proudly features cultural and historic events for the entire community. You can find the Mills online at www.prallsvillemills.org.
