Garden Conservancy Open Days at Pretty Bird Farm

Please join us for our 2nd year opening our gardens through the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days. Our gardens will be in peak bloom in August. Come see our flowers and tomatoes in all their garden splendor!

Pretty Bird Farm is a vegetable and flower garden nestled in scenic Hunterdon County. We grow primarily heirloom tomatoes and a wide variety of cut flowers to sell to local designers, restaurants and small businesses. 2019 is our sixth summer here, growing everything as organically as possible. This spring we doubled our main garden space to allow for additional cut flower plantings and more space and air flow for our tomato plants. We have a low-water-use site and plant and care for our garden to support the bees, butterflies, and birds.

We will have a butterfly expert on site to talk about raising butterflies and creating habitats with live Monarchs at several life stages. Cut flowers will be available for purchase and we will be tasting whatever heirloom tomatoes are ripe!

Bellsflower Gardens in Stockto is open the same day and will have a spectacular collection of crape myrtles, hydrangeas and so much more in bloom! we will have directions to their location at our sign in table.

Admission to this garden is a $10 donation to the Garden Conservancy for members and nonmembers without tickets purchased in advance. Cash or check only can be accepted at the farm. kids are free!

There is some parking in our driveway if you need a shorter walk to the garden. For best traffic flow you can park along 519 across the street.
