Guitarist, Rich Tarpinian and upright bassist, Darla Isaacs Tarpinian are based in New Jersey and have been a part of the local jazz scene since 2000. Their music has been appreciated by audiences of all ages. They have played concerts, public and private events as well as libraries, restaurants and wineries. Their repertoire includes straight ahead jazz and standards as well as original compositions. They also apply elements of jazz to more recent popular songs. Through creative expression and improvisation, they seek to present their musical selections in a way that complements the composer’s rich melodies and harmonies. They perform mostly in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area and are often joined by other area musicians.
