Join us the third Thursday of each month on the green of the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle for a family-friendly series of outdoor film screenings. The Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle and The County Theater, in partnership with The Moving Picture Cinema. Bring outdoor movies to the community, with the 2021 “Movies at the Mercer Museum” series.
We’re kicking off our 2021 series with a film that has touched the hearts of generations of young moviegoers. Elliot, a lonely kid living in suburban California, comes across a shy alien in his backyard. Quickly the two develop a strong bond of friendship after Elliot decides to hide the alien, who he calls E.T.
The Movies at the Mercer Museum film series is underwritten by BLB&B Financial Advisors.
***In the event of inclement weather (such as rain or high winds) we’ll be moving our outdoor screening of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” to Tuesday, May 4.***
WHAT TO KNOW:
~ Gates open at 7:00 PM and the movie will begin at dusk (around 8:00pm).
~ Tickets are limited and must be purchased ONLY online at https://www.countytheater.org/films/et. No cash or walk-up sales will be accepted.
~ Concessions can be pre-purchased and will be pre-packaged with the purchase of your ticket.
~County Theater staff will be on hand at our check-in table. When you arrive, we’ll ask for the name that you pre-purchased tickets under. Our check-in table is where you’ll also be able to pick up your prepackaged concession items.
~ Please Bring Your Own Chair or Blanket as seating will not be provided.
~ Limited parking is available in the museum lot, but walking and biking are encouraged.
~ There are open bathrooms located within the Mercer Museum lobby. Please ask either Mercer Museum or County staff for help in case you have trouble finding it.
~ Keep in mind that a can of bug repellent comes in handy while watching an outdoor movie.
