Join us for a walk along the canal path and learn more about our local and native plants.
Gathering plants from the wild provides many benefits. It connects us to the natural world and the changing of the seasons, and connects us to our ancestral heritage. It is empowering, plus it also helps ensure that our medicines are fresh, sustainable and high quality. In addition, wildcrafting can be eco-friendly and cost effective.
In this class we will discuss guidelines on how to carefully and conscientiously collect medicines. We will then go out and discover the incredible healing power of a few of the wild plants that are growing locally. Individuals will get to take home handouts that include some of my favorite recipes!
