A SPECIAL VALENTINE’S SHOW WITH MARY FAHL AT THE NEW HOPE WINERY – New Hope Winery
2/14: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Mary Fahl, former lead singer of October Project, Live at The New Hope Winery
February 14, 2021 6:00 PM
$55Blessed with a magnificent range, Mary Fahl returns for a special set of Valentine’s weekend shows full of songs about love. She first achieved fame as the lead singer and co-founder of the mid-1990s chamber-pop group OCTOBER PROJECT. As a solo artist, Mary has released several compelling albums, including the fantastic re-working of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” for V2 Records; her wonderful, original studio album “The Other Side of Time” on Sony Odyssey; and her acclaimed album “Love and Gravity”. She has also written and performed songs for several major motion pictures, including the lead song (“Going Home”) for the Civil War epic Gods and Generals. Fahl’s elegant, cinematic songs draw on classical and world music sources, American art song, as well as thinking man’s folk-pop which she performs with an earthy, viscerally powerful contralto that Boston Globe critic Steve Morse calls “a voice for the gods that can transport listeners to other realms”. Her upcoming performance will also include her stunning cover of the Joni Mitchell classic “Both Sides Now” and many October Project favorites.
