Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani Snyder of The Pour House at New Hope Winery.
Hey Dani. Thank you for joining us today. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am the social media/marketing manager here at The New Hope Winery. I also help manage the restaurant and event center. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Travel Industry Management from Hawaii Pacific University and have worked in numerous hotels and restaurants in various places such as Hawaii, Oregon, Maryland, New Jersey, and now Pennsylvania. I enjoy reading, hiking, yoga, watching movies, traveling, and of course finding that perfect angle in food photography.
Are you originally from the area or did you relocate here?
I grew up in a small town called Ashton, Maryland and then in my early 20s moved to Hawaii and lived there for about 5 years, moved to Portland, Oregon for about a year and then relocated to the east coast and found myself in New Hope.
What are your favorite places to visit in the Delaware River Towns?
I love New Hope and Frenchtown, those two are my favorites for walking around and both have excellent coffee shops.
What are your favorite activities to do around the Delaware River Towns?
In the summertime, swimming of course. Every weekend is spent on the river. In the winter, getting cozy in a coffee shop or Farley’s bookstore and taking hikes along the river.
What makes the Delaware River Towns such a special place to live or visit?
I would say the people here are really special. I have been a lot of different places and different TYPES of places but have never seen such a community-driven town. Living here and working in such a place makes it feel like you’re really working towards bettering the community and helping it grow. There are so many awesome restaurants and shops to visit and places to see.
