It’s no secret that our local area is filled with an intriguing history. From all the way up north in Milford, New Jersey, down to the history-rich town of Titusville; there’s just so much to take in.
But, one event that takes the cake for the most well-known historical event is by far George Washington crossing the icy Delaware River. Since most locals are well aware of the significance of this event, we’ll spare you from a quick history lesson.

Ready to relive the history for yourself?
The first Washington Crossing reenactment of the year takes place on Sunday, December 8, from 10 AM to 4 PM (the crossing starts around 1 PM). Throughout the day, several hundred reenactors will be in Colonial custom to make the day as legitimate as possible. George Washington will also be in attendance to deliver an inspiring speech before the crews take on the mighty Delaware River.

Washington Crossing Historic Park is located at the intersection of Routes 532 and 32 (River Road) in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. Parking will be marked.
