Hunterdon County Bike To Work Week 2019

The free annual event provides commuters with a fun and engaging opportunity to leave their cars behind and bicycle to work instead. Hunterdon County Bike to Work Week 2019 coincides with National Bike to Work Week, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Participation in Hunterdon County Bike to Work Week is open to any individual 18 years or older who lives or works in Hunterdon County. Participants may ride as many days as they choose throughout the week. All participants will be required to wear a helmet. Wearing high visibility clothing is strongly recommended.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

By leaving your car behind, you’ll be reducing your carbon footprint. Bicycling to work will also help you get in some daily exercise! Plus, most participants tell us that bicycling to work puts them in a better frame of mind to start the workday!

All Bike to Work Week participants will receive an event packet with lots of great event “swag”. Cyclists who record their bicycle commute rides will be eligible for entry into prize drawings from event sponsors.

WHAT IF I AM UNSURE OR NEED ASSISTANCE?

Routing assistance will available for those unsure of the best roads to travel to their worksite. An event Facebook page has been set up to assist cyclists interested in finding ride buddies.

Additional event features, including bicycle commuting tips will be posted to the Facebook page. Our Bicycle Specialist will also be available to answer your specific questions.

Bike to Work Week is always a huge success. This year we are expecting 100 participants to choose to pedal to work! Why not join them?
