Silent Book Club at Hops/Scotch22

What is a silent book club? It’s a very simple idea – Silent Book Club is about taking time out of your busy schedule to simply relax and read whatever you want to read and you get to talk to other people about books (if you want to, or you can just keep reading). They started in 2012 and now there are silent book clubs all over the country. You can read more about them at https://silentbook.club/pages/about-us.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, September 10th at 6:00pm
Venue: Hops/Scotch at 22 S Main St, Doylestown (in the market place right next to the Doylestown Bookshop) ~ the club meets downstairs
Reading: Whatever you want

What to expect when you show up:

6:00 – 7:00 pm – arrive at Hops/Scotch. You can grab a drink, a bite to it, or just talk with the other book club members about what they’re reading.
7:00 – 8:00 pm – wonderful, blissful, relaxing reading time. (Note: while cell phones are not exactly forbidden, we do ask that you put them on silent – or better yet,turn them off completely for a full hour free of distraction so you can just read and relax).
8:00 – time to go home….or continue to hang out and read or talk with your new bookish friends.
Don’t have a book to read? We’ll even have some books on hand for you to pick from.
